I had a few personal art goals for this challenge:

🎃 No drawing prompts in advance of the day itself.
🎃 Experiment with different pens and styles.
🎃 No pressure! Post daily even if it feels like the sketch is horrible. It’ll feel better to finish the challenge in the end.

I learned a lot about time management, personal process, and conceptualizing ideas from forcing myself to draw every single prompt even if it was extremely inconvenient. It was especially challenging because October was my busiest month this year, which caused me to frequently sketch in the bathroom during work or start sketching in bed past midnight.

There’s always time to draw if you reluctantly find little pockets of time! 😆🖊️

While I probably won’t do this DAILY again, I’m so glad I participated this year!!

Here's a few that I had a lot of fun with!

☆ Sketch for Inktober Day 1: Dream. 💤 Drip coffee fresh from leaf to cup. 📚

☆ Sketch for Inktober Day 3: Path 🪡 Coraline on the path to the Other Mother.

☆ Sketch for Inktober Day 7: Drip. 🍃 Drip coffee fresh from leaf to cup. ☕

☆ Sketch for Inktober Day 12: Spicy. 🌶️ Pepper dress. 👗

☆ Sketch for Inktober Day 16 and 17: Angel and Demon. 😇😈 Yugioh card "Change of Heart" is the only option here.

☆ I branched out to other Inktober prompt lists and combined traditional Inktober with the prompt list from Wacky Weirdos. Sketch for Inktober Day 21: Chains x Wacky Weirdos Inktober Day 21: Demonic Teletubby. ⛓️

This is my personal favorite. It's my most unhinged drawing to date. It was SO FUN and worthy of spooktober.

☆ Sketch for Inktober Day 22: Scratchy. 🦈 Shark Boy scratched the map to Planet Drool on Max's school chalkboard. 🪐

☆ Sketch for Inktober Day 25: Dangerous 🖤 All chickens wanna be like that. Bad chickens underneath, like that. You know how I'm feeling inside. Somethin' bout you makes me feel like a dangerous chicken.

☆ I once again branched out to other Inktober prompt lists! Sketch for Inktober Day 26: Remove x Weird Medieval Guys Inktober Day 26: Mandrake. 🪴

☆ Sketch for Inktober Day 29: Massive. 💣 I dreamt of this King Bob-Omb poncho design last night. King Bob-Omb had a MASSIVE cultural impact and he will be remembered. RIP.

☆ Sketch for Inktober Day 30: Rush and Day 31: Fire. Me rushing to finish Inktober and go out in a blaze of glory. 🔥
